Natasha Godfrey

Saturday, 26 February 2011

Had another wonderful headshot session with acress and writer Natasha Godfrey. Didn't think I was aware of Natasha's work before yesterday but actually I've recently caught up with the wonderful 'Rudy's Rare Records' on Radio 4 (with Lenny Henry) and Natasha is one of the characters in that.

Natasha brings a great joie de vivre with her to her work (I discovered) and I think that comes through on these, our favourite, images.

Rina Mahoney

Friday, 28 January 2011

Rina is a very talented Birmingham based actress that I've worked with doing several 'Something and Nothing Theatre Co.' production pictures. Rina's last set of pictures was done in Los Angeles and very different to the norm in the UK: much glossier as you'd expect. Rina had a terrific instinct for what works and I was really pleased with the results.

'The Cardinals' - Stans Cafe - Rehearsal

Friday, 20 January 2011

I have a very exciting few days coming up in February when I've been invited over to Montpellier with the wonderful Stans Cafe to do some production shots of the new show 'The Cardinals'. Today was about documenting some of the extraordinary rehearsal process they are going through.

The Final Curtain - Birmingham Rep Theatre Party

Sunday, 9 January 2011

Had a fabulous night with the Birmingham Rep party as they threw a party to mark the temporary closure of the old theatre as it gets redeveloped and integrated into the new library complex. Flares nightclub was the venue and fancy dress was the order of the day. Highlights included a 'Cod Oscars' ceremony to employees that don't normally get the limelight.

'All My Sons' - Crescent Theatre

Thursday, 30 December 2010

Arthur Millers classic text is next up in the Crescent Theatre's studio. 'All My Sons' has been described by some as the 'best play ever written' which I've enjoyed saying whenever this play props up in conversation. After the excellent 'View From The Bridge' in the same slot last year I'm looking forward to doing the production pictures of this in a few weeks.
